Situated on the picturesque Kennet and Avon Canal in Woolhampton Astarte is an eight berth, 62ft narrowboat. Most comfortable for six people, Astarte can also sleep 8 when the 2 top bunks are occupied, making her suitable for large families or groups of friends.
Popular route options include a short break to the idyllic market town of Newbury, 1 week's hire to Devizes and the (top) of the Caen Hill Lock flight or a longer hire tackling in the lock flight and on to Bath.
Almost all the essentials for a lovely, safe holiday are included (fuel, gas, handover including tuition, buoyancy aids, etc); however, you must bring your own duvet covers, pillow covers, towels and tea towels.

Amazing weekend
A great experience, relaxing and fun. Everything you need on board and a very informative tution from Russell who showed us the ropes before we went on our trip. If you have any doubts before your trip my advice would be to just go for it and you wont regret it. Great for families and couples alike

Amazing weekend
I absolutely loved my holiday aboard Astarte. Its very clean, spacious and well equipped. Helen and Russell and great hosts. My family and I had a birthday party on board to see how we liked it. Well we loved it! So we hired the boat for a week. Russell gave us lots of tuition before we set sail on our own. I can definately recommend a holiday aboard Astarte. You'll see lots of wildlife on the river and there's great places to visit ashore too. We'll definately take another trip.
